Erhu Master Guo Gan from Paris, France, and Canadian Chinese Pianist Jessica Yuen will bring the audience a different taste of string music from the far east.
The Erhu is a two-string bowedChinese instrument without a fingerboard, with the bow hair attached between the two strings.
The soundbox is small but powerful.
The pieces in this showcase include music from KungFu Panda 3, Racing Horse, a well-known selection of western music, and other pieces performed by Master Guo across the world, including Carnegie Hall and Hollywood recording studio with other world-renowned musicians.
The showcase presents oriental music in a fusion way, beyond just the pentatonic.
